An enjoyable read with a mixture of advice and storytelling. Dr. Black thoroughly covers the topic of fly fishing small streams and creeks. From equipment to techniques, to locating probably water, it's all in there. I especially liked the chapter on equipment and his advocacy for shorter leaders, for which he makes a very convincing case. While maybe not as glamorous as casting to trophy trout on a large river, Dr. Black captures the allure and romance of tempting wild trout to rise to your offering on often overlooked smaller waters. Chapters include: 1. The Fascination with Small Streams 2. Reading Small Water 3. Stalking 4. Special Casts for Small Water 5. Tackle Modifications for Small Streams 6. Flies for Small Water 7. The Art of Discovery 8. Where Other Anglers Aren't 9. Beverponding 10. In Final Analysis This book is a relatively easy read with a significant amount of information contained within its 93 pages. If you fish smaller streams, Creek Craft is worth adding to your fly fishing library.
