In remote Hokkaido, a group of Japanese scientists are awakened from cryo-sleep halfway through their journey back home. They hear gunshots outside the sub, and are disturbed by a Russian submarine shooting at a sea lion. Adam adopts the creature, while the crew contact Danny, who is summoned by Father to investigate the matter further. The same signal that woke them up, is the same signal the Russains were working on. They encounter a nest of eggs...
