Wonderful!

At last! A real curriculum without deedly little worksheets for the kiddies to complete (and me to keep track of). YAH! Comprehensive guide to child development, how to help them acquire skills, great activity ideas and research-based results-oriented text. The best curriculum I've seen in 10 years as an early-childhood educator.

A must for any Family Child Care Provider

This book is wonderful! It has great information for new providers (how to set up your home, managing the day, working with parents, etc)as well as ideas for the experienced provider. It gives information about the importance of block play, creative art, dramatic play, sand/water play, music, outdoor play, and toys. It tells you how to involove children of all ages in activities, and also tells what equipment you should have available. There are lots of inexpensive homemade games and toys described too.
