Three Years Later, and This Still Ranks As The Best

I used this book while earning my Masters of Teaching in Early Childhood Education. It gives a superb presentation on how to put down the 1950s/60s style of teaching reading by using an investigative approach. I hope that they up date it soon.

A great resource for getting started with writing workshop

I found Creating Classrooms... to be a good resource for getting started with writing workshop in my classroom. I especially enjoyed the sections on "Kidwatching." Observation is a powerful assessment tool.
