“Created to Relate” reads like you are talking with a friend

Desiree writes about her life lived in pursuit of pleasing God. She digs into a religious mindset and what a relationship with Christ can look like. “Created to Relate” reads like you are talking with a friend, but don’t be fooled by her conversational writing style. There is an abundance of deep truths to be grasped. This book can help you heal from “church hurt” and break free from a religious mindset.

Great Read!

Created to Relate is a book that I personally identified with. Brought up in the Catholic faith I too was constantly seeking to please God. I searched everywhere to find the peace, love and approval from God that I longed and prayed for, but I was always plagued by feeling like I constantly failed. While I knew deep down my Lord was a loving Father, I always felt like I was the undeserving daughter, a skrew up, never able to live up to the standards placed before me in my religion. I was broken and ashamed and moved further away from religion, finding myself walking alone on a path of destruction. Over the years pain and humiliation grew stronger, though, remarkably my desire to know God grew deeper and I felt like my heart was in constant turmoil. I yearned to have the relationship with God I knew existed but didn’t know how to get there. Constantly being proded to know the Lord on a much deeper level, I questioned everything, like Desiree. Do you feel this way? If yes, this book is for you! In her book Created to Relate, Desiree bears her soul, her questions and her struggles she faced along her journey to find God and to develop a deep personal relationship with Jesus. Throughout the book I could feel her pain, her sorrow and finally her joy. Des provides amazing insight on how she was transformed, lost and found. A beautiful transformation allowing her to break through the chains of religion that had been holding her back from receiving God’s truth. Desiree shares how she developed a personal relationship with Jesus which lead her back to our loving Father arms in such a powerful way. Throughout the book Desiree shares specific Scripture that helped her to develop her understanding allowing her to break through all the noise and confusion in her head. She provides the reader with very thought-provoking questions to help the reader identify with her and her struggle to find Jesus, to lead a life filled with love and hope not of despair and failure. She brings God’s promises to life and encourages the reader to begin a journey to live a life beyond religion. I pray this book touches you as much as it has touched me. I pray that this book helps you to build a deep relationship with our Heavenly Father who loves you beyond measure.
