Crazy Makers: Getting Along with the Difficult People in Your Life

This book is a life-changing read. I highly recommend it to anyone dealing with a difficult/narcissitic person. Once you understand, you can deal with the person.

A must have book for the abused

I was prompted to write this review because there was only one review here already. I couldn't believe that! This is such a great book for helping one understand abuse. Sure, there are facts it doesn't give, but it is still a book one should get if one seriously wants to start to get an up-close idea of how an abuser's mind works. It is also very useful in helping one understand how an abuser makes one feel (crazy for a start) and in giving important leads regarding effective ways to deal with abusers. I already knew a fair bit about abuse, abusers and the abused before I read this book. And yet I was extremely helped by it and grateful for it. I think it should be reissued so more can read it. It has Christian content and this will be helpful to Christians. But one can easily skip these parts if one is not a Christian and still gain all I said earlier.

Good information, but the battle will continue

I believe the authors understand the problem of narcissism very well. This book is brief, very readable and at the very least provides validation to those of us that have battled narcissism in others, that this is a very real, very huge problem. But as the authors also state, none of us can control another. Narcissists are blind and are unable to consider negative input about themselves, so making relational progress with a narcissist is virtually impossible - at least that has been my experience. I've read this book several times and have loaned it to family and friends. I highly recommend this book, but don't think it is a silver bullet - there is no such thing when it comes to narcissists.
