Awesome sequel!

But what will they do with a Hollywood manager determined to make his clients youthful forever? Is there a darker force at work? CRATE AND PERIL is the phenomenal sequel to BEDLAM, BATH AND BEYOND. Despite the light-hearted titles, these books take some decidedly dark turns as J.D. Warren is one wickedly clever author! CRATE AND PERIL can be read as a stand alone for the most part but there are some nuances that will be missed without reading BEDLAM, BATH AND BEYOND, particularly as the story unfolds. Samantha is a character I can't help but like! Yes, she's snarky but not in a mean or condescending way. Her hilarious viewpoint on the supernatural happenings adds a dose of reality that grounds the tale and keeps it from seeming outrageous. And oh, how I still laugh when I think about the breakfast scene between Samantha and Jen! J.D. Warren has created a very rich mythology that simply begs for more stories to be told. His gift at incorporating the various legends of the Kin into the modern day world makes CRATE AND PERIL the sort of book that should appeal across genres. Highly recommended!
