So far so good

I haven't had a lot of time to work with this yet, but it is just like all other test prep books. I breaks down the info and gives you practice reading and working out the problems. The CD that comes with it is pretty nice too.

lsat

Tough read, but the sample questions and tests will prepare you for the real exam.

A Great Book for Serious Prospective Law Students

I have bought all the prep books on the market, Kaplan, Barron's, Arco, Petersons, etc. and this is the best by far. The techniques presented are straightforward, logical, simple, and most importantly, effective ! If you are serious about doing well on the LSAT, trust me on this. The only area that needs improvement is the lack of tests in the book. It only has two exams but unlike other prep books, they are very closely modeled after the real LSATs. Other than that, this is the only book you will need in order to learn the necessary skills, techniques, and the knowledge of the test to do very well and feel good about your future as a result.

A great help for self study

I don't what that other reviewer was doing but last year's edition was very helpful. I didn't have a whole lot of time to study but used this and some other sample tests for practice and improved my score significantly. Now I'm going to law school this Fall. I'm sure there are other great sources but this book had humor, was down to eartch and had some great strategies as well as practice aids. I did not use the CD though.

Princeton Review Delivers

I bought the Barron's LSAT book first and that was a lame disappointment. Then I got the Princeton Review book and all of a sudden, the LSAT seemed beatable. The folks at Princeton Review earned their money by simplifying the LSAT as much as possible. Their test-taking strategies are extremely thorough and written for clarity. Cracking the LSAT is kind of like an "LSAT for Dummies" book. The writers' sense of humor and cynicism make the book lighter to read too. And unlike Barron's, this book explains all five answer choices to a question in the sample exams, not just two or three. I was scoring around 159 with the Barron's book. With the Princeton Review, I got a 165 on the December LSAT.
