Best guide for the GMAT

While this won't apply to everyone, I used this review during the 12 days studying that I had to study for the test and was able to boost my estimated score by about 100 points. In the end I got a 710 on this test, so that should provide a good selling point. The best aspect of this book is that it teaches you how to think like the test makers. On all of the practice problems there is a solid explanation for the correct answer along with justifications for the false answers. The other great thing is that the book doesn't waste time. It only teaches the material that will be covered on the test, and it teaches the process of elimination techniques that you'll need to work through the test questions as fast as you'll need to. I'd strongly recommend this book over any other book out there.

Great tips

This book has some great tips on how to answer questions. Thought the strategies were stronger in math than verbal. Hints for AWA were great, like make the essay as long as possible. You definitely need to suppliment with the official book and a computer practice test, but this book will give you some great strategies - I got a 780 and 6.0 on AWA!

Princeton GMAT Review

Better review explanations than Kaplan - particularly on the Critical Reasoning Section. This definitely helped me to get my 650 on the real exam!

Very useful tool

This is a great value. PR supplies 4 online tests in addition to this book, which contains several good examples of what to expect on the GMAT. I found this book enormously helpful in preparing for the GMAT and would strongly recommend it.

Helped me get ready for the test; it was actually fun, too!

On the whole, this book was really good. I couldn't afford a course, so I bought a few books and used this one the most. It gives the most strategy, and is the easiest one to follow. Sometimes, I felt like I was being tutored, because it walks you through each problem very clearly. At first I was concerned about the book, because it said that there were four tests, and I only had one test on my CD-Rom. But I called the publisher, and they sent me an updated disk the next day. I got a 680 on the actual exam, so it must have worked!
