Crack in the Wall:Life and death in Kowloon Walled city. FABULOUS

I have met Jackie Pullinger on 2 occasions and have been swept away by her work in Hong Kong and her love and her perseverance there. This book is a tribute to the work in the 1990's prior to the walled city coming down. It's about a historical zoning glich that built a dead end community of suffering and addiction. Through faith they come out into freedom. It is the revelation of Christ coupled with the care in the Society of Stephen workers that leads them from gangs, drugs and death to purpose and joy. It is a mind blowing piece to read.
