SURREAL

This book is an incredible trek through a dreamscape of prose, poetry, infodumps, and seemingly random bits of philosophy. It redefines the "book" as we know it with it's non-sequential style and dream like structure. Ms. Thomas has perfected the art of converting dreams directly into the written word. The 3rd person writing disorients the reader while at the same time immersing him in Shirley's disorienting world. If you're into surrealism at all you'll love it. In many ways it is similar to the story in "Outside", David Bowie's CD (1996).
