The best source of information on the history of Corregidor

The Belote brothers conducted exhaustive research, including first person interviews of people who had "been there". Many of these people are no longer alive. The book covers the development of the Fortress of Corregidor, its defense up until the surrender to the Japanese on 6 May 1942 and its recapture by the 503rd Parachute Regimental Combat Team on 16 February 1945.
