Having been in the game for almost 40 years, this book is simply the best one can find to get prepared to play. Injuries and nagging pains as I still compete in my early 50's was the biggest obstacle in really enjoying the game and competition. Whether you want to rehab an injured elbow as I did, or you want to increase flexibility and reduce pain after your round, this book is the real deal. I felt so strongly about the book that I sent my mother a copy. She's an 18 handicap in her 70's and still looking for a way to a single digit handicap where she was many years ago. Core Performance Golf gave me a great gift; to continue to play it pain free. Thanks Mark!

This is a comprehensive plan to build your core, improve your balance and get in shape for golf (and other sports). Mark touches on many aspects of sports preparation including nutrition and stretching. This holistic approach gives you all the keys to succeed and allows you to create a plan that fits you. There is some product promotion, but it doesn't detract from the wealth of information provided.
Great program

I bought this book as well as the Ultimate Guide to Weight Training for Golf. I think this book has a better program, particularly when used in conjunction with the Core Performance web site.
Great Book for Golf, which you can apply to entire lifestyle

I am a 24 year old former collegiate golfer, and this book is probably one of the best I have read for golf specific training. The exercises are described well and the workouts are easy to follow. There is also a nutrition section which talks about how to be healthier day to day as well as what to eat pre / during a round. For anyone looking to increase flexibility, strength, power, eat better, prevent injury, this book is a must. Just a side note, but the movement prep sequence for the workouts / pre round are worth the price of this book itself. I will never workout or play golf again without completing the Movement Prep beforehand, it is the best stretching / warm up routine I have seen. I highly recommend this book.
