I am not sure how I wound up looking at this book, but I looked at the excerpt, and was drawn to it. So I would recommend you also take a look at the excerpt to decide. Since it is a book of reflections that cause one to reflect, what you get out of it would be where you were and whether you were a reflective sort of person. The author often communicates in a rather poetic manner. The book is a perceptive physician's philosophy and insights.
