My son loves it!

My son just loves this book - we picked up the book at an author's festival and am so happy we did. I'd recommend it for anyone who likes reading to their children. It's fun, upbeat and my son couldn't help but learn his numbers.

Fantastic book

My wife got "Spicy Hot Colors" from the library and our daughter enjoyed it so much we bought this book for her for Xmas. I just finished reading to her - ELEVEN TIMES! This book is really different in that the illustrations are kind of strange and abstract and the words don't rhyme like other children's books but the poetic feel is there. She's is just enthralled with this book. Maybe children are more sophisticated in their tastes than we think.

Creative primary numbers

This is a very cool book for teaching numbers. Hey, why not call it "Cool Cats Counting!" This book is fresh and innovative and the kind that kids just love to giggle over the illustrations, not to mention the clever rhymes that accompany each number. For a bonus the rhyme ends with a Spanish description of the number of animlas dancing. For example, the eight rats ditty ends with ocho ratas. Now rats might seem like an unsightly choice of animal but these are "cool rats" who come complete in colorful outfits, the women have heels and men are decked out in their finest; it is not cheesy at all. It is a great concept and a fun way to teach the basic numbers. The whole book is fantastic. The ten cats are awesome dancing in various forms of jitterbug and are guaranteed to excite your young learner. There is a pronunciation guide for the animals and numbers in Spanish that is perfect for learning the correct pronunciation. This is an ideal book for introducing your child to numbers one through ten. Recommended for community and kindergarden libraries.

Super Fun Book!

My daughter is 22 months old and she just loves this book. It's a lot of fun if you read it like a funky, jazzy song. Lot's of fun!
