Flavor Galore

When I find a cookbook with pictures and simple recipes I am thrilled. "Cooking With Flavor", in paperback form, was an awesome find. It was featured at our recent book fair and I couldn't pass it up. The Rosemary Roasted Chicken under Main Dishes was delicious. Another favorite under Main Dishes is Roast Pork Tenderloin With Ginger Peach Glaze. Yummy! Under Breakfast and Brunch I have made Very Vanilla Fruit Salad several times. The Overnight French Toast was a hit at a breakfast event. I especially like the flavor variation box that is included with many of the recipes. It gives the cook an option to try something different.

McCormick's Cooking with Flaver

This is a really good cookbook with very practical and delicious recipes. This is definitely a cookbook to add to anyone's collection and be used over and over. This would be a wonderful gift idea for a new bride.

Cooking with Flavor

This is a great cookbook. The recipes are easy, few, everyday ingredients, and no long, complicated instructions. The only thing that would make it perfect is if it were spiral bound so it would lay open when using.

GO TO COOKBOOK

One of the most used cookbooks that I own. Even my 39 year old daughter who is just learning to cook (she was known as the box queen) finds this book easy to understand and use. The food is great and super flavorful. This cookbook is always on hand and I highly recommend it.

The world of spices is yours, take it

I love cookbooks, I do. There is nothing better than knowing that I have a treasure chest, literally on my shelf from which I can pull out delectable ideas that can be prepared and eaten. This beautiful hardcover book is truly a treasure on my shelf, not only rich in information but chock full of interesting and user friendly recipes that not only taste good once made but also ones that are interesting enough for me to come back and open this book again. With the many cookbooks I own some don't get used more than once, in the past two weeks that I had this book it was used at least a dozen times, something that has never happened to me before. The breakdown of this book is as follows: Breakfast & Brunch, Appetizers, Main Dishes, Side Dishes & Salads, Grilling, Desserts, Holiday and the Enspiceclopedia that thoroughly goes over herbs and spices with detailed pictures and very useful information. I adore the main idea behind this book, to train our palates. How many days pass by when many of us eat bland boring food that we pick up on the whim, things that might as well taste like cardboard but merely fill our growling tummies so that we can sleep at night? This book really uses spices to add a whole dimension of flavor, layered with easy to learn techniques. Cooking doesn't have to be a chore, a short stop at the store and a handful of items at the pantry guarantee a hot meal or a tasty luscious breakfast in very little time. Each recipe in this book uses some kind of spice or condiment, from warm Earthy cinnamon in Blueberry muffins to cool celery salt in Creamy Dill Dip to a colorful mélange of peppers and garlic in home made Italian Bread Dipping Oil. There is a wonderful recipe for Rosemary Roasted Chicken, and I must admit this was my first time roasting one, I am ready to do it again! This book has very short lists of ingredients needed, I can whip up half these meals with very little shopping involved. The style of food is mixed, contemporary American with few European twists, basically an easy to please fare. The desserts here are also quite nice, and extremely easy, I was baking with my little sis in no time, and usually she's satisfied with helping and doesn't care to eat my creations, she loved the Molten Cakes that oozed chocolate, so we burned out tongues because we wouldn't wait, that's pretty much the worst thing that could happen when using this book. This book is really easy to use, short on ingredients and each recipe has it's own colorful page so you don't have to imagine what the food could look like. I can't wait to make all of the recipes, they look fun and are easy to eat and enjoy. This is a really helpful tool in the kitchen, especially for those who make the same old boring dinner again and again. Change is easy, all we need is a little inspiration and McCormick wrapped it all up in a nice little book. - Kasia S.
