Peggy Layton is an expert on stockpiling, organizing, and cooking with food storage.

Any book by Peggy Layton is a keeper but this one I would actually rate as a "must have".

Worth it's weight in gold

I love this book, it's worth it's weight in gold. It has great pioneer recipies. Most of the recipies show how to use fresh or dried ingredients. I have seen a number of books on food storage but this one has the kind of information I was looking for how to use food storage ingredients. I can't thank this author enough for writing it and will get all her other books. Great recipies.

Excited..

I am excited to start using this book..I have recently been purchasing allot of food storage, and it is great to have so many new recipes to make with it.

Cookin' with Home Storage

This book has lots of cool charts and jummy foods where you wouldn't even know that it was from a can. My favorite is cooking with powdered eggs. It tastes so good,I really enjoy the converstion tip too. Try it for your self. I am more than sure you will love this book.

MUST HAVE!!! Great pioneer recipes you've been wanting!!

I absolutely adore this book especially the extra chapters at the back. For those of us that didn't have grandma around to help pass on those favorites. This is THE book!

NEED TO HAVE BOOK not a want to have!

Cooking with Home Storage is a book that many, many survival / dry food storage companies sell and /or send out with their products. It is a basic cookbook, meaning it uses BASIC ingredients such as granny had in her pantry and garden, such as flour, cornmeal, salt, sugar, eggs, milk, beans and garden veggies and fruits. Over 700 recipes, 300 pages plus index. This is the book for you to have if you are the typical American woman of today who knows NOTHING about baking and from scratch. No shame, it is a sign of our times that many women unfortunately were not taught how to bake and cook. Drive-thru window is so much easier. Get this book and learn how to do it from a few simple ingredients in the pantry. Get this book and keep practicing. These ingredients are not expensive and you can afford to make a few mistakes in the learning process. Typically this book sells for $14.95 plus shipping and handling.
