Very compelling story, at the least

I really enjoyed this book--the first night I started reading it I literally couldn't put it down. I ended up finishing it in 3 nights or so.. Kind of wish it was longer, but I believe the purpose is for the reader to continue the stories. Most of the things he talks about are fairly standard spiritual issues. But he conveys them in a very real and inviting way. To borrow a phrase; "A Most Excellent" book! Thanks Von Braschler for sharing!

Night Journies

I've read many OBE books over the years and must rank this one right up there with my favorites. It isn't that the book is rife with techniques like William Buhlman's or Robert Bruce's books, as you'll be disappointed if that's what you're expecting. On the other hand if, like me, you enjoy reading of someone's personal encounters, then you'll enjoy this book, which is filled with Braschler's experiences, both in AND out of the body. His meetings with guides who teach him the inner laws of nature and other higher truths while on the astral plane is fascinating. Another thing that makes this book so interesting is that the author's inner experiences began having an influence on his normal waking state so that he began having remarkable encounters while fully awake. This gives the book an even more mystical, if not chilling, tone. Overall an excellent book for someone looking for lots of stories with mystical content and perhaps a smattering of techniques thrown in.

The friend inside

Conversations is an excellent guide to establishing contact and working with the higher self. The author provides his personal history of how he got to know his inner guide, whilst providing practical advice to the reader on how to achieve this and explaining the benefits of the numinous experience. The techniques include meditation, astral travel and lucid dreaming. The chapters are titled Contacting a Dream Mentor, Exploring Other Realms, Selina's Riddle, Learning to Perceive Color, Flying like a Kite, The Rock Peddler, The Light in the Cavern, Seeing Beyond the Walls, The Initiation, Time Perception and Mastery, Selina and Kirilian Magic and Practical Considerations. There are many similar books on this topic, but the author's engaging style makes this one a pleasure to read. I would also like to recommend the book How To Meet And Work With Spirit Guides by Ted Andrews, a classic of the genre. In addition, the use of recorded guided meditations is a sure way of facilitating contact and in this regard I recommend the CDs and tapes of Dr. Eldon Taylor as they are technologically advanced and very effective.

Don't go to sleep without it!

Dreams have always been thought to be something that is, for the most part, out of our conscious control. It has been accepted by many people that our dreams are ways for the subconscious to express itself, or even to send us messages. However, in many cultures, lucid dreaming has been practiced for a very long time, and in Conversations with the Dream Mentor by Von Braschler, readers can see via example the many benefits, such as what is needed to meet a mentor. What I think was neat was he also shared experiences in which he asked the wrong types of questions and the results he received when he did. This is valuable, because often when dealing with an otherworldly presence, one can lean toward doubt as to what they really need to be addressing. There is more covered than the title would lead you to believe; for instance, some people may not realize how astral travel and lucid dreaming can often be one in the same. So in essence the reader is also receiving lessons on astral travel, lessons that your dream mentor will help guide you through. You are also being guided on how to keep a dream journal, give yourself post-hypnotic suggestions, and meditation skills, all of which are invaluable. As with any topic, it is best to learn from someone who has first hand experience, and the author meets those criteria in spades. It is a joy to study with this master. If you are ready to have your deepest most spiritual questions explored and answered, gain insight about yourself, and explore fascinating informative new realities, Conversations with the Dream Mentor by Von Braschler is a tool you should not be without in your library.

Dream Mentor Review

While reading this book I saw a whole new world unfold before my eyes. I now look at the world in a completely different way. I have yet to meet my dream mentor but I believe now that I have the capability to meet my mentor, just like anyone else. One thing Mr. Braschler impressed upon me with this book is that spiritual growth doesn't happen over night, practice makes perfect. He gives many great methods for meditation into higher conciousness and eventually astral projection. This book is an excellent tool for opening your mind to the unlimited possibilities that the universe has to offer. I don't want to sound corny but reading this book has really changed me for the better.
