I am currently retired and serve on frequently as a "expert witness" in construction arbitration and court cases. When I wrote the book a number years ago I hoped that construction people would read and adopt and positive paperwork trail of each and every project. I gues not enough people got the word. Naturally most of the cases I see now are the "bad" ones, but there is one fact that remains true: "If you keep your paperwork as if you are going to court, you won't go." You will be the only one connected to the project with a continuity of the project paperwork.
A Great Guide to the How's & Why's of Construction Paperwork

Grimes does an excellent job of describing the processes, and the paperwork that drives them. He goes further by describing the consequences when things aren't done right. All of which is written in a manner that is easy to understand, even for the uninitiated. This is a must read for any future Project Manager or just someone who wants to get a handle on what's happening behind the scenes of any construction project.
