Connections is a conversational English curriculum with an overview of the Bible. It is designed to be used in long term classes lasting 9 months or longer. The format is conversation driven, and it is created to get students speaking from the first lesson. This is a whole language approach working from conversations to break down various sentences, phrases and sound studied in each lesson. The lessons start with a Theme Picture to discover any preknowledge students have and set the tone of the lesson. Then the Conversations are taught with the vocabulary being taught in the context of the conversations. Next we work on specific sounds and the rhythms of the of the English language in the Pronunciation and Rhythm segments. Finally, there is a section that discusses a Bible lesson. There are 2 parts to each lesson and many activities to give diversity to the English practice.
