Wrong item sent. But was hard cover

I ordered a book that all three novels unfortunately the book I received was just the sphere novel. Normally I don't have issues when purchasing items this is the first. I gave it 1 star for shipping and 1 star for it at least being hard cover and still by the auther.

Great value

This book came like new. the dust jacket is in great shape. This was an awesome value 3 novels in one handsome hardback. I'm a big fan of Crichton's books I have read and wanted to branch out and read more by him and this is perfect.

Crichton's "Eaters of the Dead" worth the whole book.

Fabulous story, loosely following the Grendel saga. Wonderful research, crazy fascinating footnotes! The film "The Thirteen Warrior" was a happy outcome with Crichton at the helm. I read "Eaters..." when it came out in the '70's and now again. Have seen the film 13 or 14 times. Cult worthy. I love hardbacks.

Loved this book

Great buy, it has three amazing novels in one book. Great read it was hard putting this book down .

A Must Buy, If You Haven't Already Read Them

This collection houses three excellent Crichton novels: Sphere, Congo, and Eaters of The Dead. This volume is definately worth buying if you haven't already read these books. Sphere is one of his best books, the best in this collection. It is old-school science fiction with a modern twist! A must read. Also, Eaters of the Dead is an overlooked item in the Crichton canon, very different from his other books, but any MC fan will like it. It is a new reading of Beowulf (if you're into that). Congo is his classic novel celebrating it's 20th anniversary this year. All three books are must reads. That is, if you don't already have them. If you do, then there's no reason to buy this collection, as it offers basically nothing new. A must if you haven't though!

the best of crichton!

it's a great deal to have three of his best novels in one book. a great value for the money, highly recommended! thrill a page.

THE BEST BOOK TO BUY!!

Every single one of these books are the best book ever and now their being combined into one extroadinary book with a great cover and is put together greatly. I think Sphere is the best novel in this book but it is so hard to pick a favorite. The suspence in every novel is the spectacular and the monsters that are in every novel are scary and very creative. I love how Crichton combines science with creative monsters and non-stop suspence into one novel and now three of those novels are in one book! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to be scared to hell by an excellent author! BY THIS BOOK, IT'S AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

man, buy this book!

congo, sphere, and eaters of the dead are the greatest books that i have ever read, and they were all combined into one book! with killer gorillas, underwater monsters, and flesh eating creatures of the night, this is the BEST book anyone could ever buy.

One of the best books I have ever read!

When a spacecraft is found one-thousand feet below the South Pacific,a team of scientists were brought in to investigate. What they found in the spacecraft while living under the sea in an underwater chamber{Navy Built} was remarkable. Many events kept happening that changed the whole story.{You are going to have to read the book to find out what happens in the end}. I think this was a wonderfully written book. Crichton did a terrific job of making a picture in my mind. He explained the book so well, that I always knew what was happening. I never wanted to stop reading it.The book never got dull and things just kept happening. GREAT BOOK!
