Excellent Resource

This book contains any important information an inexperienced senior could need to understand and operate computers. It is easy enough for a 79 year old who has never used a computer. Yet, it also contains enough information that an experienced user could reference the book for additional information. Highly recommended.

Actually purchased as a joke gift..

Bought this for my hubby for Christmas to go with our new laptop. It was purchased as a joke. Actually came in handy a few times! It is well written and very easy to understand. The joke ended up on me! haha!!

computers for seniors for dummies

if you are 75 and trying to deal with the computer age this book will get and keep you on the right track. the simplicity of the book was written for those of us that are starting to keep up with this new age.it's a must for anyone without any previous knowledge of computers.

My folks think this is great

Recently my folks started using the computer and I bought them this book to get up to speed so I could connect with them via email. I spotted this book sent it to them. Glad I did. They say its easy to understand and covers everything, with examples that make sense to those over 50 and even some interesting suggestions of Web sites to visit (which they now know how to do!). If you're older and want to tackle computers, I highly recommend this book.

Just right for the mature crowd

I used computers a little at work, but on retiring wanted to tap into their usefulness for keeping me connected with folks and developing my interests. This book is just right--the author respects my intelligence and tells me just what I need to know to overcome my techphobia. There's a section on working with software that gave me the basics of several useful types of programs. The Internet section not only gave me advice on how to maneuver around online but also some tips for staying safe that were much appreciate. All in all, I heartily recommend this book for those who want to get started with computers on the sunny side of 50!
