Wonderful horse book!

This was one of my favorite books in the library when I was a child. The text is good, but what I really loved were the pictures. Even though they are "just" black and white drawings, they are awesome! They capture an essence of the horse that is rarely seen.I, personally, prefer the large, hardcover edition precisely because the pictures are bigger than in the small paperback.
