This is an easy book to read and understand.

This author must have decided from the beginning to provide a book that's easy to read and follow. He wrote simple descriptions of the plant and its companions. He provided historical information concerning companion planting and how and why it works. My only complaint is that it doesn't go into a full list of plants and their companions if they have one.
