This book presents a collection of 33 short stories and essays on a wide variety of subjects. During my 72 years I have accumulated a lot of memories and opinions based on my experiences. I am very opinionated and have something to say about just about everything. I often joke that I carry a soapbox with me everywhere I go just in case I must pontificate on something. Some of the following stories and essays are lighthearted while others are serious. Some are reflections on life while others are more philosophical. They range from pleasant memories of fishing with my grandfather to philosophizing on the subject of suicide. Some are comments on current events such as the 2016 election of Donald Trump to the presidency while others are reflections on past events such as Watergate. You may agree with what I say, and you may not. Regardless, hopefully you will enjoy my writings and that they get you to thinking about the subject.
