This is a must read - not just for the gay community but for everyone who is seeking Enlightenment. The book will take you on a journey into your innermost being wherein you might find your true self irrespective of your sexual orientation. Lewis uses language well and it is an easy read with lots of humor mixed in. Highly recommended to anyone on a True Spiritual Path.

Kevin Lewis is forthright and honest in his approach to the issue of "coming out." This book, even though written for the LGBT community is appropriate for all of those coming out, whether it is sexual preference, social issues, religious issues, or spiritual issues. Kevin has definitely hit the mark with his first book. Job well done, Kevin!

"Coming Out, the Road to Unconditional Love" is an easy read, yet rich with thought provoking statements. To live a life without judgment, as the book recommends, is challenging for us here on planet Earth. I'm personally tired of wars on all levels: family fights, work/team backstabbing, condescending comments among "tribes" of people. Sure, we all want to be right yet look at what it's doing to us? Peace begins on a personal level. Maybe that's why the book is so appealing--Kevin Lewis takes no sides. Even though he's gay, he writes clearly from all sides, and is especially supportive of parents. He's honest about the way he felt growing up and admits to mishandled details of his own life. He's quite positive about his views, and when he explains how his mother taught him to trust himself, you can understand his confident attitude. Even though the book is about coming out as a gay/lesbian, I couldn't help applying it to other secrets we humans keep, how we judge on a daily basis and how revealing a secret impacts others. These lessons are helpful on so many levels! A great book to read, and also to LIVE!

Wow! A fantastic read!

I was amazed at how practical and useful Kevin Lewis' insight is into life, acceptance, and unconditional love. At the end of several chapters, I found myself speechless or just saying, "Wow!" This book made me think about how I still judge people in my everyday life and how to change that way of thinking. Kevin Lewis opens his life up to the reader and it is a fascinating journey. He covers coming out from several different perspectives including parents, friends, co-workers, as well as the gay person. But this book is not limited to the subject of coming out. This book covers judgement in all our lives and how coming from a place of unconditional love can change the world.
