The editors assembled a great collage of insightful essays and reports from the 50 years between WWII and the mid-1990s. Highlights include reports critically comparing Canadian with US systems for health care and for labour organization. But I was most impressed by Ann Gomer Sunahara's "Deportation: The Final Solution to Canada's 'Japanese Problem'", and by Darlene Abreu Ferreira's history of the Lubicon Cree, and their heroic defense of community rights against partnerships of big oil with big government.
