Great Book!

This is a really good modern day romance. I enjoyed this book and have definately recomended it to friends. I read this book within 3 days. I highly recomend this book to all who like modern day romances in the corporate world.

Super Fun Read!

You know with a name like Elliott Foster this woman was destined for greatness! By age 34 she has taken over her family empire of Foster McKenzie and has put her stamp on the world of high Finance. Enter the picture gorgeous and single Lauren Collier who is also a high powered and self confident corporate lawyer. Set in the heady world of rich and infamous San Diego the reader gets to explore their world. Filled with back stabbing associates both personal and professional this is an erotic romance that takes you to Europe and back. PS - the achknowledgements at the beginning were fun to read so don't skip them.

Come and Get Me

I really enjoyed the book. It has likeable characters and a believeable story. The sex scenes are well written. I look forward to other work from the author.

Loved It!

I'm always excited by a new author in this genre. That has proven especially true when that author is published by Bold Strokes Books. With this book, Julie Cannon has solidified her place in my list of talented authors and I look forward to further releases in the near future. Super sexy women in super sexy professions describe Elliott Foster and Lauren Collier, the protagonists, of `Come and Get Me' to a tee. Cannon's first published book takes the reader on an exciting journey with countless twists and turns as it follows the adventures of main characters as they fall in love despite Elliott's playgirl past and Lauren's misgivings. As the women grow closer over the course of the story, they realize they can't fight the pull between them and, ultimately, give in to their yearnings. The reader is pulled in by this talented storyteller and finds it difficult to stop reading until the last page. I read this book twice and loved it even more when I closed the back cover for the second time. This book comes highly recommended and will be a permanent fixture in my personal collection.

Nearly fell out of my chair

I may be a man, and not just a man, but a grandfatherly man who likes to gather his grandkids around him, open the latest Julie Cannon novel, and read aloud the struggles, joys and love of strong, southern women coping with life in a world where even the best intentions can lead to tragedy, but nothing is ever lost as long as friends and family continue to have faith: heartfelt, warm stories in the tradition of "Fried Green Tomatoes". "Come and Get Me" is NOT by the Julie Cannon of the "Homegrown" series and does NOT follow in the tradition of "Fried Green Tomatoes", except for the part about two women loving each other. I got to a rather steamy section in "Come and Get Me" before realizing I was reading a decidedly modern romance by a different writer, and now my grandkids have all sorts of curious questions which I passed off to their parents. I quickly switched to another book but kept "Come and Get Me" for myself. "Come and Get Me" represents the first effort by an exciting new writer and follows the heated pursuit of Lauren Collier, "an irresistibly desirable but utterly untouchable woman" by Elliott Foster, a rich, high-powered, and beautiful CEO and playgirl. The two highly successful and attractive women meet at a fundraiser, and Elliot is immediately attracted to Lauren's intelligence, wit and hard-to-get attitude. I never get to attend those kinds of fundraisers. Elliot tries her moves, usually successful with other women, but not with Lauren. She further discovers something about Lauren that should mark her as off-limits, but Elliot's body won't let her mind forget Lauren, especially after Lauren whispers the challenge, "If you want me, you'll have to come and get me." I get hot under the collar every time I read that. You too will get hot under the collar as you read the heated and charged exchanges between Elliot and Lauren, and if you don't finish this novel with your pulse racing and face flushed with desire, then you can, dare I say it, come and get me.
