A great textbook!

This book is a reading book for second grade at our school. It comes from a very good series of books. The stories are good and pictures are colorful.

Collections for Young Scholars Vol 2 Book 1

As a Teacher's Aide in Anaheim, California, I have observed the teacher (my daughter) leading her 20+ students in a study format of this textbook. With its illlustrations and story content, it is excellent for leading the students into becoming truly deeply involved in the story. The teacher leads them through identifying the genre of each story and then prompts them with offering clues, problems and wonderings about each story. I am amazed as I observe the entire class becoming involved, interactive, and truly absorbing the story content.
