Read this! -- Collect This!

I bought this book for my 6-year-old grandson, but I fell in love with it. (My grandson liked it, too!) As a grandma, teacher, and collector, I found countless great ideas for all ages in Collect This! Although the reading level is for ages 4-8, I plan to buy another copy to keep in my classroom for my sophomores. Kids of all ages will find lots of fascinating and helpful information about starting a collection, organizing it, finding groups to share one's interest. It also appeals just as an interesting read. Did you know that someone collects his own bellybutton lint? As a teacher, I especially appreciated all the great little word hints, such as "A lover, or collector, of books is a bibiophile . . ." As a parent and grandparent, I appreciated safety checklists and suggestions for neatness and organization. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Wonderful Ideas for Collections

My kids, ages 7 and 4, really enjoyed the ideas presented in this book. They were able to begin collections, organize them, and use them in presentations. Excellent ideas for economical ways to get started in both collecting and displaying collections.

Collect This: A Cool Guide to Collecting for Kids

Let's face it, kid's collect everything! This clever guide zeros in on what kids can actually DO with their collections. My solution for my daughter's collections was to throw "everything" into a bag and hope she'd forget about it. Now that we have shared this book TOGETHER, we can take the next collective step and organize, display, trade and/or ENJOY the fruits of her labor! Thank you Donna and Christy for organizing US!

Collect This

As an elementary school teacher I found Collect This to be a valuable classroom guide and resource book. Each year my students complete a long term social studies or science project based on a collection. Collect This has inspride them to come up with some unusual and unique ideas. The section on Set Collecting really hepled my students keep their collections focused and organized. The book is written in a clear, concise and organized manner, with a comfortable reading level for the elememtary age student. I think this book is a great book for any elementary aged student or teacher.
