Suspense, Second Chances, Grief, & Faith

This is book two in the Texas Crime Scene Cleaners but I read it fine as a stand alone. It definitely kept me on my toes and I loved that I was surprised by the killer at the end as usually I can figure it out. Lots of high energy and undercurrents of unresolved emotions. I loved the second chance romance and how Beau redeems himself in this story. The Faith element makes it a satisfying read that you feel good about when finished. I found myself on edge trying to help them escape some harrowing situations. All in all a very satisfying read. I received a complimentary copy from the author. Gripping, emotional, inspirational suspense

Oh My Goodness!! This is an amazingly gripping, emotional story. The suspense of who and why someone is targeting Sissy Spencer after ruthlessly attacking her friend Coco, will keep you glued to the edge of your seat. I was kept guessing until the end, when the attacker's identity was revealed. Each twist and turn pulls you more deeply into the intrigue. Will Beau Brighton, Sissy's ex-boyfriend and Coco's brother, be able to keep Sissy safe? Possible trigger warning: Grief and loss play a major role in this story. If you are an empathetic reader, you may occasionally find yourself reaching for a tissue, but the grief is balanced by faith in God and the suspensefulness of the plot. There are also spots of humor scattered in. I cannot say much more without giving away key information. This author continues to surprise me with each new book. I wholeheartedly recommend Cold Case Target if you enjoy inspirational suspense.
