Another Wonderful Book for Preschool Boys

I bought this book for my 3.5 year old grandson. He has fallen in love with it - sleeps with it and the Big Betail. He corrects pronounciations of others who read it. He is also learning geography (Texas, South Lousiana, and Mississippi). The chacters are all loveable and the illustrations (mostly in color in the newwer versions) are wonderful. He is now having us work with him to create the different characters in play dough.

Charming, educational and fun for ages 3 up

I came across this series by complete chance when looking for audiocassettes to take on a long plane journey for my 3 year old. Visiting France, it was an obvious choice, as the words introduce the child to French, but it's good for children anywhere to learn about other languages or accents. The stories are simple, charming and quite educational about the habits of these creatures. They are really fun to read with all the different voice possibilities. Highly-recommended. I bought several of the books over the internet as a result, as it seems bookstores don't stock them - or even know about them.
