Clara Barton and the American Red Cross is a wonderful book, which tells about Clara Barton's life and about how she became the founder of the American Red Cross. Clara Barton's book explains how she cured the wounded soldiers that were in the Civil War. When Clara Barton was little her big brother fell, so Clara Barton was right by his side for a year and nursed him back to health. She also nursed her dog and some animals back to health. This book is amazing because of Clara Barton's braveery and her desire to help others. I could not stop reading the book, because it started to get more and more interesting.
