Unique and valuable coverage of a specialized topic

If you want to know about the "stuff" and techniques associated with the French Resistance during World War II, this book is what you need. Lots of details, illustrated by clear drawings. The book covers weapons and explosives, which would be expected, but covers some less obvious but vital topics--The specially-designed radios built and used for clandestine operations, and the various tools for charging them, including such oddities as a steam-powered battery charger! There's also extensive coverage of codes and ciphers, and detailed descriptions of the unusual guidance systems set up to help guide in the British aircraft that delivered equipment, supplies, and specialist people, and in some cases took them out. This is the only place I've even heard of these things, let alone seen details about them. The book focuses on equipment, and there is little about the people, their lives, or details of tactics, operations, and even staying alive in an occupied country while secretly fighting your oppressors. But there's only so much room in this book! Of little use if these activities aren't interesting to you, but irreplaceable if you want to know about the arms and equipment of these heroes.
