This book is entertaining and useful--I loved the easy-to understand secrets of the trade & my hair has noticeably benefited, too. The photography is wonderful and the illustrations are cool, too. Because "beauty is more fun with friends," Worthington has included the story of 4 flatmates in London who all deal with assorted hair crises in segments woven throughout the book. The girls are pretty stereotyped (the ditsy glamour-girl, the polished career-girl, the pre-raphaelite romantic, and the low-maintenance tomboy) and all 4 of them reinvent their hair for the sheer purpose of catching the attention of some guy who has ben ignoring them, but it's all in good fun & it does touch on everyday haircare problems and serves to break up the styling tips. My friends and I enjoyed this book and its companion "Big Date Hair," just as we would relish poring over a good fashion magazine.
