What a resource! Everything you ever needed to know to raise a baby in NYC. And now, my friends in Los Angeles tell me that a Los Angeles addition is being readied for publication in the next few months. You're in luck, Angelenos, because this is one must-have book!
Where's the sequel?

City Baby is a perfect guide for pregnant women, and I assume for new mothers in NYC as well. My only criticism is that it's been too long since it was published and much of the information is outdated. There are many more resources available and, in the same token, several referenced sources are out of business. Where's the sequel? There's an enormous potential audience; I'd be first in line!
The natural sequel to Sex in the City

City Baby is an excellent idea, very well executed. The authors are obviously intelligent people with good taste and common sense, they are not taking hand-outs or leading you astray. The writing is crisp and clear and information is easy to find. And it's information that's surprisingly hard to find elsewhere; basic things like the various daycare places in New York. If you or your spouse is pregnant and living in the Big Apple, this is as much of a must read as the Bonfire of the Vanities.
The best book for city mothers!

I thought this book was a just a guide to shopping for babies and since I hate shopping I skipped it. But when I found myself isolated as a new mother I looked again. This book directed me to the lunches, classes and activities that saved my sanity. Unlike other books of this type, the authors give recommendations based on their own experiences and they are very accurate! And I even found that their shopping advice was needed after all, and I've been able to find what I needed thanks to them!
A real necessity for new mommies in Manhattan

I saw this book long before I was pregnant--and put it on my "must have" list for the future. Now that I am a mother, I find the book very helpful in finding stores, getting around, and the very helpful suggestions on what to do with my infant. The two authors really researched their topic and it shows. A great resource!
