In this retelling of the classic fairy tale, an attractive mutt wins the heart of a prince with the help of her canine grandmother. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I got this book from the library and my 5-yo daughter loves it so much that I'm buying one for her bookshelf. Quote: "I really love that book." I asked why she likes it and she said she likes the illustrations. They are rich and intricate with details (my description). I think she also likes the anthropomorphic aspects of this version of the story and the expressions of the dogs. From my own point of view since I'm re-reading this favorite book to her over and over, I've not gotten tired of it either--the writing style remains fresh.
Another great title from Diane Goode!

I bought this book with some misgivings, due largely to an earlier negative review. I am very pleased to say that my fears were totally unfounded! In "Cinderella: The Dog and Her Little Glass Slipper" Diane Goode has faithfully retold the Charles Perrault version of this story, and added a canine bent to it! The illustrations are wonderful - bright, attractive, colourful and full of amusing doggy detail. I have 52 other versions of this most famous of fairy tales, and this Diane Goode book is a worthy addition to my collection! Highly recommended!
