"FOLKS WERE JUST FOLKS"

Some may wish to critique the Christy Series books to find their flaws, but if they will think about the motives and actions of actually living the Christian faith, they will find a treasure trove of guiding principles and how to follow them. In CHRISTY'S CHOICE, One of the characters, Ruby Mae, discovers that whether comfortably situated, like the folks in Ashville, or in abject poverty, like the people in Cutter Gap, "folks are just folks." Being naturally out-going she finds no difficulty in relating to either strata of society. Christy, on the other hand, finds herself torn between staying near home and beginning a school for the poor children of her home town, or returning to Cutter Gap with its filth, abject poverty, moonshine, feuds and violence. Which will she choose? This is a captivating story of following one's heart, based on Catherine Marshall's mother's experience in the Great Smokies.

Christy's Choice

I have been a Christy fan for some time and I was hoping that this book would be more about "David or Neil" but the book leaned more toward "Ashville or Cutter Gap". However this was still a great and exciting book in all respects and I recommend it highly.
