Neural interface technology is an emerging field at the intersection of frontline neuroscience, engineering, computer science, and clinical neuroscience. This rich cross-disciplinary thrust promises to provide devices that restore or replace lost functions in neurologically impaired humans and that aid diagnosis and treatment of nervous system disorders. Electronic activation of specific areas of the nervous system has already demonstrated impressive developments such as cochlear implants and deep brain stimulators. On the other hand, high density neural interface connectors that acquire and transfer neural signals are at a much more primitive stage of development, posing technical challenges. This work describes the research and development of a high density connector to interface with high precision neural interface systems. The connector is tested and validated to be able to use as a medical product for animal and human use. This description may be from another edition of this product.
