Christmas Sermons? sort of

Although reading sermons from the different phases of ministry in the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer is fun and enlightening, the book is mistitled. This book is packaged to sell at this time of year. At best, the Bonhoeffer material is from Advent, not Christmas, and even then, several pieces are not even Advent sermons. The compilation as it is currently titled is designed to sell this time of year, shame on you Zondervan, and what is lost is the true content - a random list of sermons and devotionals piecing together the growth of Bonhoeffer in his different ministry settings. That should have been enough to sell the book. A more apt title would have been something like, Tracing the Ministries of Dietrich Bonhoeffer with an Advent Emphasis.
