God bless us, every one!

“‘Boxing Day,’ Miss Tilley said. ‘In Dickens’s day rich folk boxed up their old clothes and gave them to their servants on Boxing Day.’” I didn’t know this! I noticed “Boxing Day” printed on my calendar as a holiday every year, but I never thought to look up what it is. I assumed it had something to do with the sport, boxing 🥊 . How interesting what it’s really about! This story was Lucy Stone’s version of A Christmas Carol. Not only was a play of A Christmas Carol happening in this book, but it was happening with the actual characters, too. Sara, Lucy’s daughter had her own rebellion happening that caused her to “run away”. Sara is a freshman in college, so her running away is hard for me to be concerned about. Lucy sure was concerned though. She wasn’t thinking rationally at all when she became upset and jumped into her husband’s truck to go search for Sara. Me? I would let Sara go, make her own mistakes just to prove to her that being on her own is rough. This was a good version of A Christmas Carol. God bless us, every one! Next is Book 21 French Pastry Murder. Deuces to your cabooses!

Good condition..?

The books slip cover was really damaged, to the point where it doesn’t work properly so I had to take it off.
