Enlightenment

This is an excellent essay into bringing Christian liturgy out of the dark ages of superstition and into the twenty-first century.Christianity is a wonderful institution,has much good to offer,and has done much good in the past,but many enlightened people are repulsed by the ancient creeds and dogmas such as virgin birth,bodily resurrection,universe creation in six days etc.The author Harry Cook avoids these by creating the human sense of reverence,inspiration and upliftedness by using secular inspirational poetry of great poets such as Wordsworth to worship the divine.
