Great Book

I had owned this book before and did not still have my copy. I reordered and am very pleased with the price and condition.

Excellent book!

Contrary to what a previous review said, who calls him/herself "Name Withheld" who titled his/her review, "Christenson recommends wife beating", Christenson does NOT recommend beating your wife or daughters into submission. Nowhere in the book does it say this. Please, people, do not review books that you have not even opened! A quote from the book, p. 132: "...When an arguement flares up in a marriage, it is the husband's place first to humble himself and beg forgiveness for whatever was wrong in his behavior. This is death to the ego. It may be that his wife's guilt is as great or greater. No matter. His call is to 'love his wife as Christ loved the Church.'" Does this sound like a man who beats his wife and daughters or encourages others to do so? I think not. Read the book for yourselves, people, and pay no attention to people who review books without even reading them.

The Very Best

This book has been used in our church as a counseling tool as well as taught from the pulpit. It is one we recommend to all aspiring teachers and anyone who works with children and families in general. Pastor Christenson has provided exceptional information in this book. I highly recommend it.

Simple guideline to a Christian Family

My mother sent me an earlier additon of this wonderful book. I never read it totally or indepth as I have recently. I am now ordering this newer edition for my children and friends. So simple is the truth though sometimes hard to see until it is in print in front of your eyes and your heart is ready to accept it.

God used this book to change my life.

An earlier edition of this book was given to my husband and me as a wedding gift. I am convinced that the Lord used this book to change our preconceived notions of marriage and help us build a union that has blossomed and grown for 27 years. Now I am ordering it to give to my son and his new bride with prayers that it will be used just as mightily in their lives.
