I was very disappointed by this book, except for the twist about her 'limitation'. When I read a book by Anne McCaffrey (one of my favorite authors), I get 400 pages of tightly spaced print and hours of reading. Chosen was so short and double-spaced that it didn't take long to read, and the cutoff point was poorly chosen and didn't really leave me wanting to read the next book. The characters were flat without much background although I did like the friendship part between the two girls. Maybe a tween might like this series.
