A wonderfully authentic cookbook!

I've never before found a cookbook like this which included so many dishes that my mother cooked for us as children. If you've eaten at a Cantonese household, you'll recognize many of these recipes, from the commonplace to the elaborate. My mother and I greatly enjoyed going over the dishes and many pictures together. I've already purchased 6 of these for myself and siblings!

this is REAL chinese cooking!

if ever i needed to duplicate my mom's home cooking (but never bothered to learn how), this is the book to do it. i ordinarily have a great dislike for most 'chinese' cookbooks, because they usually contain bastardized versions of traditional cantonese dishes i grew up on. if you want to know how chinese people really eat, get this book!!!
