I with this wasn't out of print

I checked out this book at the library to read to my children and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to buy it. We have read many of the traditional fairy tales, and this collection translated by Marie Ponsot had the familiar elements of beautiful maidens, daring deeds, and rewards for virtues like kindness and bravery. The oriental flavor gave its own different twists to the stories and the illustrations were sumptuous and realistic. The descriptions in my favorite story, "The Extraordinary Beggar" were especially beautiful and made you want to be in the story. Good complement to the Brothers Grimm and H.C. Anderson.
