I do not normally read this type of book, about foreign people, I am so very glad I did!It not only held my interest, it called to me each night to read more. It was difficult to put it down and go to sleep.I had no idea how it really was for the Chinese in our country, but I have found a deep respect for their endurance, their heritage and abundant courage.This story has it all, love, betrayal, hardship, dreams, you name it.
