first book to teach how to be a better parent for today's kids

Iloooooove this book!! I want to absorb every word thoroughly before turning the page. This book has improved if not saved my relationship with my daughter, 13 years and son, 10 years. There is no other parenting book with this perspective on today's culture and family dynamic.

This is the best book I have read on parenting

This is the best book I have read on parenting and with a 16-year-old son I have read quite a few. Ron Taffel shows parents the respect we deserve. I was amazed to discover the complicated world our children live in and comforted by Taffel's sensitive advice. I also enjoyed the layout of the book. Taffel uses different fonts to signal his advice, anecdotes and the "what-to-do" check list for parents. I highly recommend "Childhood Unbound."
