Tony Kieu is lovingly called in Vietnam because he and his friends are Ameri-Asian, "Children of dust". This is because they are the offspring of an American G.I. and Vietnamese woman during the war in Vietnam and after his mother is killed by a police officer applying her trade of a prostitute to support them both. After that he is left to suffer on the streets of Ho Chi Minh city formerly Saigon with other orphaned half breeds, fueling his hatred of not just the communists but his and his friends fathers as well. So much so that he swears vengeance on not just his father but on everyone of his friends father's for bringing them into a culture and world without honor. Tony works a freighter to the U.S. and begins a quest of vengeance that will go all the way from the Pacific rim to the American mid-west, sending his father his friends fathers pictures all while leaving him to wonder what is coming his way. Michael Newton makes an action, adventure, thriller that leaves you turning the page all the way to the end.
