Wow!

I was so glad to be able to get all the books of the first saga at once. It meant weeks of enjoyment!

6th in series

I ended this book at a lost. Is this the end? Alot of their problems have come to a close and the couple do come full circle in this book, which usually signifies the end. The group even separates at the end, but is this REALLY the end? I don't know. Maigere finally reaches her goal. Leesil comes to terms with his family and gets his wedding. The bad guy is done away with...or so we are led to believe, and yet, it doesn't feel as though the story is finish. I hope not. Great book. Hard to put down.

THIS BOOK WILL KEEP YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT AND CONSTINTLY GUESSING

I was so happy when my dad handed me this book. I must say this book is probably the best book in the series. In some parts I almost cryed and right when you think something is going to happen it dosen't!! The ending is almost perfect but they leave it wide open for another book. The fight scenes are excelent and you are always on the edge of your seat. Make sure you savor it because you'll fly through the pages!!

Does anybody really know what's going on?

I don't consider myself much of a reader, but I am hooked on the Noble Dead series; it's just really exceptional. Everything that's been done so well throughout the series continues here with mastery: vividly portrayed fight sequences, multiple converging storylines and continually evolving likable characters, both good and bad (and not so clear). With this being the final book in the series I've become so fond of, I was hoping for a solid ending. I won't divulge any details, but I'll simply say it's a mixed bag. It's generally satisfying to the reader but still leaves you yearning for more. Consequently, I'm still going to be impatiently counting down the days until the release of the saga's second series; and you will be too. So yes, buy this book and then introduce a friend to the series as well.

Fascinating

Magiere, Leesil, Wynn and Chap are off on another grueling undead infested journey. Barb and JC Hendee do such a wonderful job at world building that even though we've been on the road with these characters for many books there are still delightful discoveries and surprising revelations in the pages. The elven ships were one such marvel. There is now a stage sized cast of rich characters to keep track of. I found the frequent point of view shifts a little distracting but it was interesting (not to mention shocking) to know what was going on with those devious antagonists. I'm glad we made it out of the Pock Peaks to a wonderful homey touch, because I was afraid my toes would get frostbite...
